Over the last month, the markets haven’t been able to resist the narrative that everything is falling apart. From tariff wars to economic turmoil in everything from tech stocks to cryptos… Investors have been sounding the alarm for weeks. And yet if we look at the fundamentals, the markets are telling a different story. And it’s not all bad news. Take crypto, for example. A flash crash seemingly overnight sent the markets into a frenzy, sending market-making coins like Solana and Ripple crashing. But as of this week, not only are those coins making up their losses… Bitcoin and Ethereum have each hit new peaks, with the former peaking north of $100,000 over the last two weeks. Investors similarly called a tech stock apocalypse on the back of China’s gains in AI… Only for IBM and Microsoft’s respective earnings beats to send many bellwether tech stocks rallying over the last week. The biggest takeaway here… We can’t let short-term panic determine how we trade options. We know volatility is here to stay. So our approach to options shouldn’t trade on market noise. Instead, we need to hammer our big investing themes for the year and maintain our focus on the names and sectors that we know will hold up whatever the markets throw at us.
