That’s when the world’s biggest technology event, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), kicks off in Las Vegas. More than 4,500 exhibitors flocked to Vegas this year to showcase the latest and greatest in tech.

That’s no surprise… But I’m not talking “AI Builders” such as Nvidia that are building the infrastructure that makes AI computing possible. These were the first winners of the AI boom. I’m talking about “AI Appliers.” As my trip to CES confirmed, they’re the inevitable next phase of the boom. And it starts now. You typically wouldn’t associate these companies with AI. But they’re set to soar as they apply this breakthrough new technology to their business models and create huge efficiencies… and profits. So, today, I’ll go through the standout AI Appliers from this year’s event. I’ll also pass along a simple way to play this next phase of the boom. First, a quick introduction is in order… Scouting for High-Potential Opportunities I head up Freeport Strategic Opportunities, where I cover fast growing small- and micro-cap stocks… and how to speculate on that growth using stock warrants. Most folks haven’t heard of warrants. But Warren Buffett, Carl Icahn, David Tepper, and other billionaire investors use them to secure outsized returns in high-potential opportunities. Warrants allow you to control shares at a fraction of the cost of buying them directly. This gives you leverage – or extra oomph – over moves in the underlying stock. For instance, if a company’s stock moves 10% – up or down – its warrants will typically move 20% or more. And if you’re scouting for high-potential opportunities, CES is a great place to find them. That’s why it’s circled on my calendar each year. It’s not only about checking out new gadgets and tech trends. It’s also about learning from the companies behind them. For example, I met with the folks behind a tiny company called Blink Charging at CES one year. It makes electric vehicle charging stations. At the time, the company was ramping up its operations. And chatting with the founder and former CEO, Michael Farkas, convinced me it had a bright future. Readers who followed my Blink Charging warrants recommendation were able to cash out 19 months later with a 2,805% gain. We don’t see returns like that all the time. But it wasn’t the only “10 bagger” my subscribers have had a shot at. They’ve also had a chance to close out a gain of 2,174% on warrants that Target Hospitality issued. It showcased its new autonomous articulated dump truck (ADT) – the 460 P-Tier.

Instead, they use computer vision, AI, and cameras to autonomously handle repetitive tasks such as transporting materials. This allows human workers to focus on more complex tasks, which boosts their productivity. You Can Control This Excavator From 500 Miles Away Down the hall from John Deere was rival Caterpillar. It was showcasing its remote operating technology – something I got to try out. 
John remote operating a Caterpillar excavator The company had set up an excavator in Tinaja Hills, Arizona. I was able to operate it from the Vegas event center – almost 500 miles away. Some of Caterpillar’s clients are already using this technology. A Caterpillar rep told me that a client who employs stevedores at its port is all in. The remote technology makes it safer to operate an excavator that’s moving material from a barge onto land. It also cuts insurance costs because there’s no human operator at risk. This is scary stuff if your job is directly at risk. But it’s also our ticket to a brighter future. We can’t depend on politicians or central bankers to get inflation under control. But AI Appliers will slay inflation by boosting productivity… while also increasing living standards. This Spielberg Sci-Fi Is Now a Reality I also got to try on a haptic suit… 
John tries on a haptic suit that gives sensory feedback from virtual worlds If you’ve seen the Steven Spielberg movie Ready Player One, you’ll know what I’m talking about. A haptic suit creates vibrations, pressure, temperature changes, or other physical sensations on your body. This brings sensory feedback from the virtual world to the real world. This will revolutionize job training in dangerous environments by enabling realistic, immersive – and risk-free – simulations. For example, they’ll help trainee firefighters experience navigating burning buildings, feeling heat, as well as impact from falling debris – without risk of injury. They’ll also help train soldiers by simulating the impact of bullets, explosions and hand-to-hand combat for realistic battlefield scenarios. One of the demos I tried in the suit involved making repairs on a spaceship while it hurtled away from Earth. Each step included clear visuals, via virtual reality goggles, on what I needed to do to complete the repairs. This AI Assistant Will Hail You an Air Taxi Delta Airlines was also showing off a new AI tool. Its CEO, Ed Bastian, gave a keynote speech at the Sphere arena. And I managed to snag a ticket.

And its goal is to make your travel experience as seamless as possible. It will send you traffic alerts to help you get to the airport faster. And if there’s too much congestion, it will hail a Joby Aviation flight so you can beat the traffic entirely. Think of Joby Aviation as Uber for the skies. It uses piloted air taxis to carry passengers on short- to medium-length journeys, such as between cities. Instead of a 90-minute car ride in traffic, Joby will get you to the airport in 10 minutes. And Delta’s AI assistant can make it happen. AI at the Drive-Thru I also met with a small voice AI company called SoundHound AI. It was showcasing its AI-powered drive-thru technology. 
SoundHound’s AI drive-thru interface The goal is to bring AI assistance to fast-service restaurants. This will free up time and save money for their operators. The company reps I talked to said about 100 restaurants are using this system already. And the addressable market is massive. There are about 200,000 drive-thru restaurants in the U.S. alone.
