The duality of Elon

Is this D.O.G.E. thing even real?

NOVEMBER 13, 2024

Some days, I think he’s a brilliant renegade on the cutting edge of technology and thought…

Other days, I think he’s an eye-rolling frat bro looking for approval from the masses on X…

That’s the duality of Elon Musk…

And while I don’t know what to think about him on any given day, I think it’s pretty inarguable that he’s one of the most important people of our time.

Think about it this way:

If I told you that someone had transformed the way people transfer money to one another… or that someone had revolutionized the electric vehicle and battery industry… or that someone had overhauled one of the world’s top social media platforms… or that someone was trying to single-handedly spark a new space age and get human beings to Mars…

You’d have no problem acknowledging that any of those people were pretty impressive.

If I told you that ONE person was responsible for ALL of those things, you wouldn’t believe me. But that’s the incredibly true story of Elon Musk, who is still just 53 years old.

Did Elon Just Spark Tesla’s Next Bull Run?

Legendary Tesla trader, Lance Ippolito, says his Tesla indicator has just flash green…
And that Trump’s win could fuel this rally for years to come!

Now, how you think about Elon right now is probably heavily influenced by your political position… and that makes sense after the Presidential Election.

But now that President Trump has formally announced that Elon and former Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the official new Department of Government Efficiency, Elon’s legacy is more confusing to me than ever.

Is the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency simply just Elon’s edgelord sense of humor taking center stage, a new way for him to make DOGE jokes on X?

Or is he serious about slashing government spending to the tune of trillions of dollars, which will transform the bargain for taxpayers and the Federal Government?

A recent survey from the Bipartisan Policy Center revealed that only 18% of Americans think taxpayer money is spent “efficiently.”

Could Elon be the solution to that?
When he took over Twitter, he immediately gutted the internal staff and business structure, a move that was panned at the time as vengeful and short-sighted.

But today, Twitter runs as smoothly as ever with tons of new features and a (according to Elon) record number of users and engagements.

Could he do the same thing for the Federal Government, the kingpin of all boondoggles?

I honestly don’t have a clue…

And I think Tesla shareholders have a right to question whether all this buddying up around in D.C. is distracting him from what they likely perceive as his central mission.

But I’ll admit…

Elon’s particular brand of chaos can be pretty fun to watch. And whatever comes of the D.O.G.E., I’m at least excited to see what happens next.

To your prosperity,
