Investor Alert: Stocks Jump on CPI News, But Here's What the Numbers Really Say

Excluding more volatile food and energy prices, it came in at 3.3% vs. a consensus range of 3.2% to 3.3%.  The numbers are virtually the same as a year ago, which tells us inflation has not gotten better over the past year. To me, this report is not good because it’s not getting better.
