"Solar power will be the single largest source of electricity generation by the midpoint of the century." That's not me saying that. That's a quote from billionaire technologist Elon Musk – and I can't think of another person who has more of a finger on the pulse of solar power technology. The fact is, he's right – solar power technology is taking off like one of Elon's rockets, and every day sees new developments that increase efficiency, lower cost and improve reliability (or all three). For example:
A new report published by UK-based energy think tank Ember already shows that solar was the world's fastest-growing source of electricity generation in 2021. Australia leads the world in its uptake, with its photovoltaic (PV) generating 12% of the nation's electricity last year. But innovations have not solved two of the biggest problems in solar: energy loss based on the sun's position and the amount of surface area it takes to have a solar panel setup. And as the world is increasingly relying on green energy for things like EVs, one company is targeting both problems head-on. This company isn't a typical solar company … they don't produce their own solar panels. Instead, they're focused on solving one the biggest problems with solar today: solar installations take up a lot of space. Their inspired solution is to stack their towers vertically, saving up to 90% of the space normally required for using solar panels. This company makes solar much more obtainable in urban environments, though rural areas that want to preserve their land could profit off their towers too. This solar company has partnered with the manufacturing company Foremost, giving them the ability to dramatically increase tower production. What makes this news even more impactful is a recent press release showing their towers can sustain extreme weather, such as 120+ km/hr winds, and the panels in their towers didn't experience soiling (getting covered in dust and losing efficiency) after a year in the field. What does this mean to the investor? More towers, less maintenance, more potential for profits. This company is potentially set to become a giant in the post fossil-fuel age. Now is the time to do your due diligence. Sincerely,
