Investors See Graphite Opportunities in New Commodity Supercycle

Investors Take Note...

The New Commodity Supercycle Shines a Light on the EV Battery Metal Graphite

According to industry experts, we are at the beginning of a commodity supercycle when it comes to key battery metals such as graphite.

Graphite makes up 95% of the anode – the negative electrode – of lithium-ion batteries used in EVs. This makes it a vital part of the $7 trillion shift toward electrified transportation.

But today, a graphite shortage isn't just imminent… It's already here. In fact, the graphite deficit reportedly started last year, as demand for EV battery anode ingredients exceeded supply.

The unfortunate truth is that there are NO graphite-producing mines in North America today – even though graphite has been deemed essential to American energy independence and national security.

That's why the U.S. government is investing billions of dollars to ensure an adequate domestic supply of this crucial metal.
